He gave his cell number and said if interested to call him. All offers would be considered. So we did and we worked out a deal outside of the auction. He promised to end the auction after we sent the money via MoneyGram. He ended the auction and picked up the money. He was to call us back within the hour to provide a tracking number. He never did. His cell went straight to voicemail (which was full so we couldnt leave a message) for 2 days. I have his name, his cell number, an address (not sure if it is really his). I have contacted the FTC, National Fraud Information Center, Internet Crime Complaint Center, and filed a police report with my county. What else can I do?!? Trust me, hubby got an ear full for sending a complete stranger $2,000 via MoneyGram. He feels pretty crunchy about it. Anyway, to add on to this the ebay seller tried selling the same rims in another auction in which he had a “winner”. I immediately contacted this “winner” and warned him. (cont.)
