Seems that they’re going backwards while Google and you tube kick their backside for fun! This rubbish of closing Yahoo photos to use an outside image host is totally strange behaviour. It reminds me of when they closed their UK auctions to recommend an up and coming site called EBAY!!!
Way to go YAHOO you really know how to push the self destruct button!
Like if theres like 5-10 mins left on an auction, a surge of watches will appear, and these 5-8 watches wont even bid on the item before the time expires. Whats that all about?
Are they just ‘watching’ the item just so there have a reminder of the item for next time it appears on ebay for cheaper or something?
Strange.
Why do people bid so much for weird stuff on ebay? Some of the sellers say don’t bid on the auction if you don’t understand. Well, I don’t understand and I would like to know. Does anyone know the significance of this stuff and why people buy it?
Here is some stuff I found:http://cgi.ebay.com/MCDONALDS-FRENCH-FRY…http://cgi.ebay.com/ANTIQUE-HIGH-END-BEL…
It just seems pointless to me. Ebay encourages posting an auction as…the more days you list it for, the better your chance for bidding. While I’ve found that true in regards to the more days there are, the more people will “watch” the item…they don’t bid anything until the last 1 or 2 days. I just find that kind of odd. What’s the point of having 5 or 10 day auctions when nobody actually bids until sometimes the last day or hours before the auction ends? A lot of people seem to go straight for the “sort by auction ending time” and purposefully look for the ones that end first. I don’t know…I was just wondering if any other people out there thought this was really strange and a waste of time?
I’ve been looking at iPod shuffles, the new ones that are teeny tiny OMG I can’t find it it’s that small.
On eBay they’re going for more than the price Apple is charging. I’ve seen this with other items as well that are not hard to find in stores. I know everyone does not live near a mall, but what gives?
Is there something about eBay that makes people not research the things they want to buy before they buy items that are readily available (as opposed to antiques, hard to find items, collectibles)?
I’m not knocking eBay, or the buyers and sellers – I’ve held some very successful auctions in the past, but it is strange to see what people are paying for stuff that they can go out and buy at the store without the extra fees, seller identity, etc.
Anyone out there have the experience where it was worth it to pay the extra $ for something on eBay that also was in the stores? Was it a time or a easier to buy online situation? Serious answers please.
For example, rotten.com is a collection of real dead people, disgusting pictures, etc.
Faces of death is a collection of videos of people getting murdered, killed or committing suicide.
Bizarrebids.com is a collection of weird auctions on ebay such as the toast with obamas face on it which sold for over $300, the cheeto shaped as a penis that sold for around $700, and the potato chip that was shaped like illinois which sold for around $1000.
Share any weird / morbid sites with strange collections that you’ve come across.
