A Pay-pal Scam ? Nigeria Type O Scam ? I Think So Selling Xbox 360 Elite On Craigslist?

Well this guy wanted my xbox 360 on CraigsList… he emailed me asking if I could send it to his brother and he would pay the $400 I am asking for the 360, then cover shipping charges. I used to be a Ebay PowerSeller for years and always got paid through pay-pal… well I told the guy I would sell it to him but would have to wait till I transfered the money through pay-pal to my checking account… I had another pay-pal account but lost some info and was not able to add the same checking account because I had it added to my original account and can not have same checking # on two pay-pal accounts, thats why I mentioned like 3 days to transfer but all of a sudden I get a couple weird looking emails that say…

International Ebay Selling.. Usps Wants To Know Too Much?

I sold an item to someone in Canada. I went to the post office and the lady told me that I had to print out 2 copies of the auction page, and 2 copies of the paypal transaction
I didnt request insurance, and the package is being sent through standard air mail to Canada
Ive shipped things overseas before and I never had to take a photo or anything of what was inside the package. I just thought it was strange? Like.. why do they need to know so much about what Im shipping?
I understand there are new rules or whatever.. but I live in the US and Im shipping something to Canada.. its not like Im shipping guns to Iraq or something
I know it sounds like more of a complaint but now I have to run out and buy a printer just to ship this thing
Is this normal? Does everyone who ships something overseas have to bring this kind of documentation with them?! It just seems a little TOO nosy considering Im not even getting insurance on the item
Its not really a big deal, the item is completely innocent (im shipping a gameboy sp) but I just thought the woman’s demeanor was odd. It was almost like she was mad that she didnt know what was in the package

Selling My Youtube Account?

I have recieved an email through youtube from a man asking to purchase my youtube account for 250 dollars, here is the email:
” I have a pretty strange question for you: Would you consider selling me control your youtube account?
maybe it’s so important to you that you wouldn’t sell at ANY price — cool, no problem…. I totally understand…..
but… in case you WOULD still consider selling it… it could be useful for me to promote our label’s music…. and so I can now immediately offer you $250 (two hundred and fifty US dollars) for it. NOTE — it would be totally OK if u wanted to re-post the videos from this account to another “new” youtube account or etc…..
I could send you payment by www.paypal.com — or if you prefer, u could list the account on ebay auction with a “buy now” price and I’ll buy it from there…
if you’re interested, please respond to this message to let me know! ”
At a first glance this seems ok.. i have nothing to loose right? its not like it cost me any money to make my youtube account but is there some way he can reverse the payment so it costs me money or somthing?.
I guess the reason for his interest in my account is:
Subscribers: 140
Channel Views: 19,000
And videos with a total of 6 million views..
Scam or is this guy for real?
Cheers guys much love x

Accused Wrongly Of Selling Fake Iphone On Ebay…what Do I Do?

I fairly recently sold an iPhone on ebay for about $700. When I sold this iPhone, in the ad I said that I didn’t accept refunds, and that the iPhone was new and unused for any reason other than to take the pictures for the auction. About a week after I sold the phone, the buyer contacted me accusing me of it being fake. I had absolutely no reason to think that it is fake, it had all of the iphone logos, and to the best of my (limited) knowlege it was an iphone. I asked the buyer to give me proof of the phone being fake, and he told me that he wasn’t able to do that, and I told him that I would not give him any refund without the proof. After arguing with me for a wile, I got a letter signed (supposedly) by an AT&T manager saying that it was not a genuine apple product. It seemed strange to me that the letter came after he told me so many times that he was unable to get proof so I called the AT&T store where he supposedly had the letter signed and they could neither confirm nor deny the authenticity of the letter. To me it seemed that the buyer was just trying to get a refund because of buyer’s remorse and my return policy. Since the phone has been used since I sent it out, it is now worth less money, so if I refund them I will be loosing the depreciated value of the phone, the ebay listing fee, the shipping fee, and the paypal fees.
My question is what should I do here? I was thinking that since the time that the buyer has to file a claim with paypal is up in about a week, it might be best to just not respond to them until the time period runs up so they can’t try to do what they are doing.
I also don’t know very much about iPhones at all, so in the event that it was a fake i’d like to know if there is anything that they can do to me other than dispute it with paypal or leave me negative ebay feedback , just to cover all of my bases, if they are able to somehow take it farther i’d like to know what my options are so I could just cut my losses. I figured that the money I would loose isn’t worth taking the hassle of them trying to report me for something, but at the same time i’d really like to not get screwed over.

What’s The Story About Sarah Palin Selling A Jet On Ebay?

I’ve just been reading that Sarah Palin apparently sold the Alaska State jet when she took office to one of her supporters , Larry Reynolds, a businessman, for $2 million.
Thats strange because I remembered her saying in her speech she sold a jet on Ebay. I’ve just looked up what she said and found this:
In her acceptance speech she said she sold the jet on Ebay.
The RNC video about her, says she auctioned off the jet on Ebay.
And John McCain in interview says she sold the jet on Ebay and even made a profit.
Did she or didn’t she sell it on Ebay ?

I Have A Question About Selling Items On Ebay….?

I have used ebay in the past to sell and buy items, but not for a long time. So recently I put an item on there for sale and now I am getting a lot of strange emails about it. They are all roughly the same, but the main outline of them are that someone wants me to end the auction early because they want to buy it right away and they want me to send the item to Africa or somewhere else overseas for their grandkid or husband or various other people who are attending school usually. All these are from different ebay id’s but they are all familiar as they have offered me different sums of money to end the auction. Anyway, I have never run into this before and it all seems very weird, so if anyone knows anything about this then that would be cool. Thanks
