I was on Ebay looking for my son a cell phone……
When I came across a “lady” that has bought 66 cell phones in the last month. She has bought them at various auctions , in lots or as singles. Price doesn’t seem to bother her just that they are all the same model.
Can someone give me a reasonable answer for this behavior?
Am I just watching to much news coverage? I am not trying to be paranoid but this does seem strange to me.
** I kept seeing her nickname while checking the feedback of sellers. It seemed weird to me but I thought I would ask …..

I bought a DVD from Malaysia on ebay.com. I paid for it via PayPal. The seller stated that it was a factory release version. She also stated it came with documents from the Malaysian government stating it was real. Well a few days go by and I receive this item. It consists of three discs (televeision show on DVD). The box looks kinda weird, like someone printed it at home, however, there is a big hologram on the front. So I figured maybe they just made this really cheap. I open the box and the there are two dvd cases inside. One holding one DVD, while the other is hold two. Both cases are only made for one DVD. Disc 1 does not play on any of my 4 DVD players. The other discs work, but the menus look like they were made on a computer. Lastly the subtitles are extremely literal and not very good.
Well this lady states in the auction that she accepts no returns. I can not ship these items to her because they are counterfeit and that is a felony anyway. What can I do?
I’m new to ebay as a seller and I’m very interested in selling clothing and shoes (Brand Name). Now My first item that I bought wholesale and place up for auction was a pair of gucci shoes made from italy. The auction ended at $100.01,which was great!
However ebay took down my listing and informed me that my item was trademark violation and unauthorized item, and they also informed the buyer, who still wants to buy the shoes!!!
Now I see tones of sellers on ebay selling the very same shoes that I have, but when I look at many listings to see who’s bidding for these items, every last User name was something like ( V***1 or G**j, or e***e).
Is there something I’m doing wrong?why do there listings have buyers’s with these weird codes?shouldn’t there listings be cancelled as well? or I’m not part of a secret? Some one please help me,Thanks!!
Here is the problem, some premier members/sellers of eBay are sending messages to newcomer bidders that eBay has advised them not to sell or do transaction to newbies with 0 point, even after winning the bid. Now i like to ask how the new buyer bidders will earn points if they are not allowed to buy..some bidders may be non-paid but all are not equal..
on the other hand answers from the sellers come very late..and when the auctions end they claim shipping cost (specially) overseas that are well higher than that given by eBay calculator
for example,to from us bangladesh USPS priority will be 21usd plus insurance but claims have been made like 40usd!
So do you think this terms to be notified to eBay authority to compel the sellers to “calculate” shipping cost with eBay calculator, other than their own wish.So how much safe, secure and pleasant the eBay shopping, buying or bidding is,i like to notify this stuffs to eBay authority for updating their rules, please mention appropriate links thx
OK, Ive been selling and buying on ebay since 2000. Well recently i sold an item to a person who had a 100% FB score. This person never paid me. The first week after the auction he didnt even respond to my invoices or messages asking for payment, so of course i filed a dispute. He eventually contacted me back and said he was out of town and couldnt pay but he still would since he was back so I told him that was fine. SO, i waited another day and he still didnt pay! How weird that was i thought i mean why waste my time, the guy had over 100 FB ratings and at 100% positive (and none from selling anything, just buying)… but whatever, I just closed the dispute and got my FVF credit (it was the 9th day after the auction at that point).
OK, so i relist the same item. it goes for 5 days and another person wins this time. However, this person has ZERO FB score. I looked at his info and it says hes been on ebay since 2007?? Ok, if youve been on ebay that long and have a 0 FB score somethings gotta be up with that.. Well, now its been a few days and now THIS person hasnt paid either!! Im getting very frusterated now..
Im trying to figure out whats up with people bidding on this particular item and not paying.. Neither of these individuals are selling the same item so i can rule out competitors trying to screw me over. Both of these people also have addresses in different states. I sell many other things on ebay and dont have problems with the buyers. Anyone have any ideas with this information what coud possibly be going on with this?? This just seems very strange to me.
Serious advice please as im getting very irritated with this!!

Now, if you browse around ebay fairly frequently like me, you might notice buyers with screennames with a letter, 3 stars, and a letter. For example “h***h”. For some reason, it seems like they are bidding on everything. Take this as an example
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=170148309645
for some strange reason, auctions are becoming like the auction I showed above. I find it strange…. Does anybody know anything about this infestation? I am serious.
Thanks.
